01 Scope

This is part of the Terms of Service and applies to everyone using Cosalyx, including team members and sub-accounts under an agency. The account owner is responsible for everyone under it.

02 Messaging rules

Applies to WhatsApp, and to every other channel Cosalyx connects.

You must

Have a lawful basis to message each person: consent, or a business relationship they would recognise

Make it obvious who you are in the first message

Honour opt-outs immediately and permanently, however they are worded

Keep to the categories Meta approved your templates under

Respect the 24-hour window: outside it, only an approved template

You must not

Buy, scrape or rent contact lists and message them

Message people who never gave you their number for this purpose

Disguise a marketing message as a utility one to pay less or dodge review

Continue messaging someone who asked you to stop

Impersonate another business, or send unlawful, hateful or sexually explicit content

03 Why this is in your own interest

Quality on WhatsApp is measured against your number, not your account. Blocks and reports lower Meta’s quality rating for it; a lower rating lowers your messaging limit: how many different people you may start a conversation with in 24 hours.

A dropped limit rarely comes back

Sending to a bought list is not a shortcut with a small legal risk. It is the fastest way to lose the channel entirely, often within days, sometimes before the first campaign finishes. Meta can also restrict or ban a number outright; we cannot appeal that for you.

04 Platform rules

Do not attempt to reach another customer’s data, or test for ways to

Ask first before running security testing against Cosalyx, we will usually say yes

Do not upload malware, or content you do not have the rights to

Do not resell Cosalyx outside the agency and marketplace features built for it

Add team members instead of sharing one login

05 What happens if this is breached

Depending on what happened, we may ask you to stop, disable a feature or channel, suspend the account, or close it. For anything short of serious or unlawful conduct, we contact you first and give you a fair chance to fix it. For unlawful conduct or active harm to others, we may act immediately.

To report a breach, write to [email protected] with the business name or number.
