Data Deletion
How to have your data removed: whether you hold an account, or a business that uses Cosalyx holds records about you.
01 In short
Which route you take depends on whether you have a Cosalyx account, or you are someone a customer holds records about.
You have an account: delete it yourself in Settings, or email us.
You messaged a business that uses Cosalyx: that business controls your data. We forward your request and confirm.
Either way: [email protected], subject “Data deletion request”.
02 If you have a Cosalyx account
Delete it yourself
Sign in, open Settings, choose Delete account, confirm.
Or ask us
Email us from the address on the account; that is the simplest way to confirm the request is really yours. Deletion is irreversible, and acting on an unverified request would be worse than declining one.
What gets deleted
Your profile, login credentials and sessions
Your workspaces, sub-accounts and team memberships
Contacts, leads, opportunities, tasks, appointments, notes and tags
Conversations and message history, including WhatsApp
Uploaded files, and integration tokens, which are also revoked at the provider
What we keep, and why
Invoices and tax records, for as long as Pakistani law requires.
Encrypted backups, which expire on their own within 90 days. We do not restore deleted accounts from them.
Export first if you want a copy. Deletion cannot be undone, and we cannot reconstruct an account afterwards.
03 If a business holds your data in Cosalyx
Messaged a business on WhatsApp, filled in their form, or ended up in their CRM? Then that business decides what happens to your data, not us; we host it for them. Under data protection law they are the controller and we are the processor, and deleting their records on a stranger’s say-so would be the wrong call for us to make.
Fastest route
Contact the business directly and ask them to delete your record. They can do it immediately from inside Cosalyx.
If you cannot reach them, or they do not respond
Email [email protected] with the business name or WhatsApp number, and the number or email you want removed. We identify the account, forward your request, and confirm to you that we have.
04 WhatsApp and Meta data specifically
Deleting a Cosalyx account removes the WhatsApp data we hold and revokes our access to your WhatsApp Business Account.
We cannot delete anything held by Meta
Meta processes WhatsApp messages under its own terms and keeps its own records. To remove data from Meta’s systems, ask Meta, through your WhatsApp Business Account or Meta Business Suite. We have no ability to do that for you.
To disconnect WhatsApp without deleting your whole Cosalyx account: open the app under Integrations and choose Disconnect. Our access stops immediately.
05 How long it takes
Self-service: immediate.
Email request: acknowledged within 72 hours, completed within 30 days.
Forwarded to a customer: passed on within 7 days, and we tell you when.
Backups: expire within 90 days.
